Tide & Ledger is run by Andrew and Cassie Murphy out of Tampa, Florida. We’re a husband-and-wife team that handles bookkeeping, financial reporting, and back-office operations for growing businesses across Tampa Bay and nationwide.

Andrew Murphy

Andrew runs operations and client strategy at Tide & Ledger. He started his career managing complex IT implementations for Fortune 500 companies as a Senior Project Manager at ArcLight Consulting. From there, he served as a Market Area President for Apex Service Partners, a private equity-backed home services firm, where he managed operations and owned the P&L for two trades businesses in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. He holds an MBA in strategic finance. That combination of enterprise project management, hands-on trades operations, and financial training is what he brings to every client engagement.

Before his corporate career, Andrew served in military special operations. That background shows up in how he works: disciplined execution, attention to detail, and zero tolerance for sloppy numbers. It doesn’t mean we run the business like a military operation. It means when we say your books will be done by Friday, they’re done by Friday.

Andrew handles client onboarding, financial system design, managerial accounting, and the consulting side of the business. If you’re on a strategy call or getting a financial review, you’re talking to Andrew

Cassie Murphy

Cassie is the backbone of daily bookkeeping operations at Tide & Ledger. She holds Advanced QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, QuickBooks Payroll, and QuickBooks Online Accountant certifications. She’s the one inside your QuickBooks every week, categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Cassie handles weekly bookkeeping, payroll processing, QuickBooks setup and migration, and day-to-day client communication. When your books are clean and your numbers are accurate, that’s Cassie’s work.

How We Work Together

Small By Design

We’re a small team by design. We don’t take on hundreds of clients and push them through a machine. Every client works directly with us. Andrew and Cassie. You have our phone numbers. You have our email. When you have a question, you get an answer from someone who actually knows your business.

Remote-First, Local When It Matters

Most of our work is done remotely through secure QuickBooks integrations and cloud-based tools. For clients in Tampa Bay, we’re available for in-person meetings throughout the region. For clients outside Tampa, everything works the same way. Bookkeeping doesn’t require a handshake. It requires accuracy, communication, and showing up every week.
